Background:           

The High-Voltage Team required at least 4 weeks to prepare a bid for a standard substation. The goal was to reduce the processing time to 7 business days. 

Approach:   

Step 1

Kick-off meeting with the project and team leaders, clarification of the framework conditions for process improvement (SIPOC, team members, ZDF, etc.)

Step 2

Current state analysis of the process (noting initial issues)

Step 3
Design of the target process; a major focus was the standardization of workflows, contracts, prices, etc.
Step 4
Implementation of the measures agreed upon in the target process workshop
Step 5
Tracking the implementation of the measures and the goal
Step 6

Celebrating the success; no adjustments were necessary

The goal of completing the quotation process within 7 days was exceeded. Additionally, a significant amount of time was saved for individual colleagues.
